This Oregon Workshop is self-driving. We recommend flying into Portland PDX and renting a car from there. Our itinerary will be subject to conditions and the tides. We are keeping this open-ended to provide our best possible chances of getting incredible wave action. In addition to powerful swells, we will also explore traditional wide-angle seascape photography and coastal abstracts!

Due to the workshop's spontaneous nature, we will either start the adventure south and work our way north or vice versa, depending on the conditions. Our furthest shooting location from PDX is a 4-hour drive, so it's important to account for this when booking flights back home. We recommend booking your flights for at least the day after the workshop ends.

Any skill level works for this trip, whether you are just getting started with photography or have been shooting for a long time. We are well experienced in teaching basic photo theory and camera settings. But really, our passion for this workshop will be teaching our photo philosophy, which will allow you to really think outside of the box to capture unique images under any conditions.

DISCLAIMER: While the main goal of this trip is to capture the massive swells this season promises, there's no 100% guarantee we'll see them. Thankfully, even in that very unlikely case, we'll still be surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, brimming with endless photographic possibilities.
