The Most Valuable Lesson I Learned on my Madeira Landscape Photography Trip
Madeira is a true paradise for landscape photographers, offering a unique and diverse range of landscapes and natural beauty that is hard to find anywhere else in the world. From its soaring peaks and rugged cliffs, to its verdant forests, cascading waterfalls, and pristine beaches, Madeira is a photographer’s dream come true. However, Madeira is known for its challenging weather conditions, which can often change quickly and unexpectedly. In this video, I delve into the most valuable lesson I gained from my trip to Madeira for landscape photography. I talk about how one mistake nearly prevented me from obtaining one of my favorite shots from the journey.
The cliffs in Madeira were just insane! I had a hard time getting full scale here so I had to do a panorama shot with my trusty 16-35mm lens. The lighting was unbelievable, and I cranked my aperture to F16 to get that sun star effect. I also had to exposure blend for the highlights and the shadows. Down below you will find some of my favorite images taken on this adventure in a variety of different conditions. I really hope you enjoy them! Also make sure to stay tuned for the next two vlog videos, where I share some adventures from the foggy mountains and a gnarly fairytale forest.
Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going there next month. I’m expert to be much greener.
